MAKE- UP KITS

These kits shall be kept in the battalion vehicles, Haz Mat 2, and Command Units.  They are to be used when other agencies assist Chesapeake or when teams of volunteers and/or off-duty personnel are formed at the incident scene.   The kits (BP pouches) contain the following:

1.         Blank PASSPORTS

2.         Blank nametags (white in color)

3.         Markers for writing

4.         Spare sets of numbered helmet shields

5.         Sets of double hook or double loop velcro strips

6.         Incident site passes (see point-of-entry control)

Personnel formed into teams at the incident may not be assigned to a specific engine, ladder, tanker or salvage company.  When this happens, personnel shall be placed into teams.  Helmet shields with the prefix "TM" for TEAM, followed by a number, will signify the personnel formed at the scene (TM 4 or TM 8).  Each team leader, chosen by the Incident Commander or their designee, should be provided with a portable radio and use the helmet shields designation to identify the team by radio.

Example:  Team 1 to Command, salvage and overhaul of the 3rd floor complete."
